Enterprise police have arrested and charged Toni Olivia Davis, 52, with attempted murder for a shooting that occurred on the 200 block of Martin Street in Enterprise on Thursday afternoon.
Enterprise police and neighbors have described the shooting as bizarre and unusual.
An alarm salesman went door to door selling alarm services on Martin Street. When he approached the home of Davis on the 200 block the two exchanged words in the street and minutes later Davis shot the salesman in the leg.
Neighbors described the alarm salesman as kind and friendly as he went door to door. When asked about Davis, many neighbors say that they have never interacted with him while during his time of living on Martin Street which is known to be peaceful and quiet.
Lieutenant Billy Haglund said that now that Davis is in custody EPD can move forward with this case.
“We’ll just move forward with all our documentation and present to the court system with the information we have at this time,” said Haglund.
The victim is in stable condition but expected to be ok.
