Description
This is a one day introductory course for individuals with little or no background in the fire alarm industry. Included are definitions, terminologies, primary and secondary functions of a fire alarm control and voice evacuation systems, various initiating and notification devices, digital communicators, sprinkler system, agent releasing systems, waterflow devices, field wiring styles, and the differences between conventional and addressable fire alarm systems. This course also covers design considerations and basic codes such as NFPA 72 and The American Disabilities Act (ADA). This course concludes with a written examination and the completion of a post course evaluation.
